The Arlington Chamber of Commerce has been a driving force in the economic life of our community since
1917, just five years short of a century. This tradition continues today, with successful initiatives to help our
member businesses provide increased service to Arlington residents and the greater community.
The Board of Directors of the Arlington Chamber is comprised of local business representatives, who
volunteer their time. They work closely with the Chamber Manager and Chamber members to meet the
needs of local businesses. One initiative the Board recently implemented is a new tier of membership for
one-person businesses.
We recently welcomed Jennifer Tripp, as the Chamber Manager. As a local resident, Jenn brings her
creativity and commitment to Arlington’s business community. Her expertise in social media and
fundraising will enable the Chamber to expand its services and outreach.
One of the Chamber’s most exciting programs, Shop Arlington 1
st
, works to keep shopping dollars in
Arlington. The program provides convenience to shoppers living in Arlington and the surrounding
communities. The gift certificates are available for purchase at Leader Bank’s Arlington branches, the
Chamber’s office and the Chamber web site.
Arlington has become a “dining destination.” Next year, the Chamber will be bringing back, A Taste of
Arlington, which will become a bi-annual event. The Taste will once again showcase the variety and quality
of foods, both savory and sweet, of our Chamber restaurants.
The Chamber recently founded a women’s networking group to provide networking support and
educational seminars to assist women to succeed in business.
Nearly 100 years after its founding, the Arlington Chamber sits squarely in the heart of our Town’s
business and residential communities in the Jefferson Cutter House, at the intersection of Route 60 and
Massachusetts Avenue.
